About Us: We have a small US Kennel of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who give us great joy and friendship. First and foremost, our Cavaliers are pets and they all live in the house with us, but we do show some of them as a hobby at both CKCSC-USA and AKC Championship Shows. From time to time, we may breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniel litters to improve our stock and to enable us to introduce a new puppy into our Show Team. We have an outstanding love for our dogs. Katrina (Winterhaven Meadowsweet), our first, was a birthday present from my husband and has become a huge part of our lives. I had been searching for a Cavalier for nearly a year and finally found Katrina. Nicholas (SevenWoods Obsession), our second, is a delightful, neutered male who has adopted our daughter Jennifer as his mommy. He arrived from Sevenwoods Cavaliers and brought his magic into our home. Next came two - within weeks of each other. Sevenwoods Headliner (Topper) was eight months old when he came to us and Sheeba Must Be Magic (Muffin) was a little bitty thing of just 16 weeks. Topper proved to be our first Champion finishing from the puppy classes - a stunning male with outstanding structure and a beautiful head. Our thanks to Sue Shidler of Sevenwoods for entrusting us with Topper. Muffin came to us from Karin Ostmann (Sheeba) to become one of our foundation bitches - and an outstanding one she is. Muffin was bred for her first litter to Sevenwoods Headliner and that litter proved to be a wonderful grouping, an excellent line-breeding back to some spectacular Cavaliers. We re-homed three puppies (two boys and a girl), kept one girl as a show prospect, WoodHaven Debut (Amelia) and another, though not a show-girl, because of her excellent structure and physical attributes, WoodHaven Encore (Dominique). Emma (Homerbrent Erica) is our first tri-color. She came to us from Molly Coaker of Homerbrent in England. After the long ordeal of a trans-Atlantic flight, fighting London traffic, driving on the "wrong" side of the road for over 750 miles in England, stressing over the puppy paperwork, finding a hotel that accepts dogs and suffering through another flight back, Sandy and and Doug arrived safely home with Emma in March 2004. She began her show career in June 2004. Katrina's next litter was five boys and a girl. Bred to Sheeba Red Baron, this litter was typical of the Sheeba line, wonderful in form and beautiful in color. Two of this litter (one of the boys and the girl) now reside with Katrina's breeder - Mary Hanus (Winterhaven) in Northern Wisconsin. Two of the boys were re-homed as pets and the last two boys we kept as possible show-stoppers - WoodHaven Sirius (Teddy) and WoodHaven Stealth (Hunter).
